Let me back up. A few weeks ago, a friend referred me to the Chai Mommas blog, thinking I might like to pass it along to my wife to read. Curious, I clicked on the link to take a look. Now, I see a lot of these kinds of blogs because I’m a children’s book author. Blogs and magazines geared towards mothers are where many great conversations about children’s books take place, so I visit a few to keep an eye on what’s new and trending in that space. What struck me about Chai Mommas right away was what they were writing about and how they wrote about it was from a very unique perspective compared to the other blogs I’ve seen. The four moms/writers who create the articles and content for this blog all come from different walks of life, and they all have different things to offer parents by way of their experiences and lifestyles. Whether it’s information on establishing routines for children, product reviews and giveaways, healthy recipes, or activities for children, these ‘mommas’ have a lot of great things to share for both mommies and daddies. The best part is, what they have to say does not come from a cold, antiseptic, commercial place – the passion in their posts is palpable because they first ‘live’ what they write about.
It’s no wonder why this blog was a finalist in the 2013 Parents Magazine Blog Awards.
Now, I pride myself on being a handyman around the house. I know how to fix, tweak, remake and patch most things at home. But even I learned a thing or two from their Tuesday Tips section. It’s easily my favorite part of the blog.
So there you have it – a daddy’s perspective on a great mommy blog. I highly recommend you go check out ChaiMommas.com today!
